I am twenty-five and recently graduated from the University of Montevallo with a degree in print and broadcast journalism. I am currently staying in Birmingham and looking for new friends.

I am very family oriented and have three younger sisters I adore. I can be a bit of a hermit, but trying to break out of my shell. I love science fiction/fantasy television and film. I also love some comic books. I know, I am a bit of a nerd. I am a fan of Star Trek (original and Next Generation) and actually think I like Star Trek more than Star Wars. I am not very religious at all. I consider myself agnostic if I had to give myself a label. I also have a bit of a warped, sarcastic and even dry sense of humor. I enjoy travel, my favorite place on earth is Alaska. (I live in the south, but Alaska owns my heart.) I've made three journeys to Alaska, once in summer, once in fall, and once over the Christmas holidays. Tried Snowmaching, hot springs in -37 weather and tried all the "Alaska food fare"
I like snorkeling and have gone scuba diving a few times, but am not yet certified.
I'm an thrill junkie. I love roller coasters, and even used to skydive, in my younger years.
SPORTS to me, are things like whitewater rafting and hiking, not really interested in professional sports. If we're friends, I would watch a baseball, football or ice hockey game with you, and enjoy it, but when I'm alone, I prefer reading or playing with my pets.

I was born in the Birmingham area and have lived here all my life (sans the bit while I was in school). I live in the Southside area and work downtown for a local utility company. I thoroughly enjoy my work and I believe people are much happier when they do the work that brings them satisfaction.
